Introduction to Tibetan Buddhism   – Each Wednesday evening 6th to 27th March 2019 from  7.30pm to 9pm

This course is designed for anyone interested in Buddhism but particularly for those who wish to understand the unique Tibetan Buddhist approach to achieving life’s potential.

The course introduces students to the meditation techniques and fundamentals of Buddhism.

This course will cover:

  • Meditation practices that increase mindfulness, relaxation and clarity
  • Buddhist views of the nature of mind, karma, impermanence, compassion and enlightenment
  • A range of Buddhist approaches and responses to life leading to positive states of mind and greater happiness.

The course is based on Geshe Acharya Thubten Loden’s Path to Enlightenment

Sunday Classes

For those wishing to have an understanding of Tibetan Buddhist meditation. Beginning with basic meditation methods to relax, develop peacefulness, clarity, calmness and positive states of mind. Subjects introduced are “Meditation”, “Kindness and the Six Perfections”, “Mindfulness”, and the “Seven Point Mind Training”.
Sessions include meditation, an explanation of the practices and an opportunity for questions.

Class commences  Sunday afternoon at 3pm

Suitable for beginners and the more experienced.

Chris has been studying Tibetan Buddhism since 1970.  He has been a student of Venerable Geshe Acharya Thubten Loden since 1977 and was ordained in 1986.  He has been a resident of the Sydney Centre since 1982 and a teacher since 1984.    For more information phone Chris 0434 123 788
