2019 Introduction to Tibetan Buddhism   – Each Wednesday evening 6th to 27th March from  7.30pm to 9pm

Sunday Classes

For those wishing to have an understanding of Tibetan Buddhist meditation. Beginning with basic meditation methods to relax, develop peacefulness, clarity, calmness and positive states of mind. Subjects introduced are “Meditation”, “Kindness and the Six Perfections”, “Mindfulness”, and the “Seven Point Mind Training”.
Sessions include meditation, an explanation of the practices and an opportunity for questions.

Class commences  Sunday afternoon at 3pm

Suitable for beginners and the more experienced.

Venerable Chris Watkins
Chris has been studying Tibetan Buddhism since 1970.  He has been a student of Venerable Geshe Acharya Thubten Loden since 1977 and was ordained in 1986.  He has been a resident of the Sydney Centre since 1982 and a teacher since 1984.    For more information phone Chris 0434 123 788



Buddhist Philosophy and Meditation
Suitable for beginners and intermediate students
Thursday 7:30pm – 9:00pm
This class is taught alternatively by Rod Lee and Nancy Carlisle.  It includes meditation instruction and Buddhist philosophy from the Lam Rim text written by Venerable Geshe Archarya Thubten Loden.

Requires previously taken initiation

Saturday 3:00pm – 4:30pm

Suggested donation is $15 per weekly class and $10 for each subsequent class in that same week.  Students are also welcome to stay for a discussion and refreshments after each class.
